Company History

Originally based on a concept akin to sending one’s children out to work, Ten Tenths started with Nick Mason’s own collection of sports and racing  cars as the nucleus of the fleet.

It soon became apparent that a far wider range of vehicles was required and a network of friends, like-minded enthusiasts, dealers, race teams, importers, manufacturers, etc. were invited to assist.

Since 1985 Ten Tenths has supplied vehicles for hundreds of televison commercials and advertising stills shoots as well as several feature films and small screen programmes. Exhibitions, promotional activities and product launches have also been embraced.

The Team

As well as Nick, Mike Hallowes, Charles Knill-Jones and Ben de Chair are all historic motor sports enthusiasts or competitors. Nick is running a variety of his classic collection from the 1901 Panhard et Levassor to the more recent McLaren F1 GTR. Other vehicles frequently to be seen at various historic events include Bugatti Type 35B, Maserati 250F, Maserati Birdcage, Frazer Nash and Ferrari 250GTO.

Charles has restored several vehicles including Bugattis and a military Austin Seven wireless car and is responsible for the day to day well being of the collection.
