1960 Lotus 18
This Lotus 18, Ch. No. 909, was supplied new to the British Hill Climb Champion Tony Marsh.. He campaigned this car in the 1961 British and German Grands Prix and lent the car to Willy Mairesse for the Belgian GP the same year. Tony Marsh further campaigned the car in the British Hill Climb Championship in subsequent years achieving some notable FTD's along the way. This car was totally restored for Nick Mason by Cedric Seltzer and apart from some test miles and taking part in an opening title sequence for a TV programme about Sir Stirling Moss the car is virtually as new with its 2.5 litre Coventry Climax FPF engine. 1986 March 86C
This ex Michael Andretti car, ch. no. 5, fitted with a turbocharged 2660cc running on methanol and producing around 950bhp, enjoyed a fairly succesful CART career with one pole at the Ponoco 500 and a win at the Phoenix International Raceway where Michael lapped everyone twice and finished first by a lap! In recent years it has appeared at the Goodwood Festival of Speed driven not only by Nick but by Bobby Rahal and Danny Sullivan. With Rockingham and the Lauzitzring circuits beckoning this must surely be an ideal new Historic Formula racer. POA.
